HIGHLIGHTS OF NOVEMBER 22, 2011, COUNCIL MEETING

·    The budget for the period July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2012, has been approved for presentation to the congregation at the December 4 congregational meeting, and will be circulated for review prior to the meeting.

·    The Strategic Plan has been approved for presentation to the congregation at the December 4 congregational meeting, and will be circulated for review prior to the meeting.

·    The Chair of Faith Formation reported that two new members have been nominated to the committee:  Jennifer Dick, Member; Emilia von dem Hagen, Youth Representative.

·    Yasu Kuwahara has ended his internship with us effective today and has decided to return to Japan.  We wish him all the best for the future.

·    The Stewardship & Outreach Committee will be split into two separate committees, subject to the ability to staff both committees.

·    Shaw Media has committed to placing a 25-foot artificial tree in St. Andrew’s Square for the Advent/Christmas season.  It should be in place the week of November 28.

·    The 30:30 Anniversary Celebration preparations are coming together.  Ticket sales are going well, and a good attendance is expected.

·    The energy retrofit started earlier this year is complete and the new equipment is fully functional.
