Book Study Anthony B. Robinson’s What’s Theology Got to Do with It?

What do Christians believe about the Trinity, about Jesus Christ, about human life, about the Church? How does God speak to us through Scripture? Why do we say what we do about sacraments or creation? Explore these questions (and more!) with us this October as we read

Led by Morgan Bell, this book study will use Robinson’s book to animate our exploration of some of the foundational topics of Christian theology. It will be an opportunity to explore our own faith (as individuals and a church community), to discover more about Christian theologies, and to learn more about the faith that guides us as Christians.

The book study will be held at St. Andrew’s U.C. on the following dates. Each week, we will focus on the sections of the book in brackets:

  • 5 October at 10:30 a.m. (pp. ix-44)

  • 12 October at 10:30 a.m. (pp. 45-94)

  • 19 October at 10:30 a.m. (pp. 95-155)

  • 26 October at 10:30 a.m. (pp. 157-231)

Interested in joining? We encourage you to find a copy of Robinson’s book. If you have any difficulty doing so, please contact the chair of our Faith Exploration Committee, Judy Britnell (j.britnell@sympatico.ca). A reading schedule and questions for consideration will be sent out next week. Have more questions? Please contact Morgan Bell (morgan.bell@mail.utoronto.ca).

Come learn, share, pray, and grow with us!
