Celebrating 100 Years of Faith, Fellowship, and Community

Today, our courtyard came alive with joy, colour, and connection as we gathered to celebrate Pentecost and the 100th anniversary of The United Church of Canada. It was a truly special day, one that reminded us of the strength and spirit of our community here at St. Andrew’s.

From the moment the service began, there was a vibrant energy in the air. The sea of red clothing—a symbol of the Spirit’s flame—lit up our space with warmth and unity. Following worship, we moved into the courtyard for a lively and love-filled BBQ. The laughter, shared stories, and delicious food brought people of all ages together in celebration.

Events like these don’t happen on their own. We are deeply grateful to the incredible St. Andrew’s team and the devoted volunteers who made it all possible. From setting up chairs to grilling burgers, greeting guests, and creating a welcoming space for everyone—your dedication reflects the heart of who we are as a church.

As we honour 100 years of faith, service, and transformation, we also look ahead. The United Church of Canada continues to inspire us with its call to Deep Spirituality, Bold Discipleship, and Daring Justice. And here at St. Andrew’s, we’re proud to live out that vision in our own community.
